REFLECTION OF THIRD WEEK OF TEACHING PRACTICE

REFLECTION OF THIRD WEEK TEACHING PRACTICE

      (From January 17 to January 21)

The third week of teaching practice was really very successful. In this week, the teachers from our college came to school for observing class. Smita miss and Viji miss observed my class. There were anxiety and tension regarding this before starting the class, but after starting the class all the tension had vanished and remain as a casual class. And in this week we conducted an awareness class for students in the topic "Say No To Plastic : Think Act Save". It was really a successful one. We also taught students how to make paper bags. It was really an interactive session.

On January 17, I had CTET Exam, so I didn't go to school.

On January 18, we reached school early at 9 am. I was really tensed because we knew that today we had observation by Smita miss. It was the first class which a teacher is observing and I had no regular period this day. Then I got a class at 9E at first period, but teacher couldn't came to my class because so many students had class at first period. Then at third period I borrowed the same class from Mini teacher and take same class once again. At this time, teacher came and observed my class. And after that period I came to know that the fourth period is also free for them, so I continued there.This day was really a memorable one.

On January 19, we reached the school early at 9 am. This day our optional teacher Viji miss came for observing class. I had a regular fourth period on this day. So I had no tension about borrowing period fron teachers. But I had an anxiety about the class till fourth period. So, after the first three periods, teacher came to my class and observed the class. At starting I had a little tension, but later it vanished. After class, teacher told me about the positives and negatives in my class and explained how to improve the class. After that teacher came with us to our staffroom and corrected our lesson plans. And at 12:30 pm we had gone to distributing food to students. Really it was a memorable one.

On January 20, we reached school at 9 am. And on this day, we had planned to conduct a school based activity. So as planned, we conducted the program "Say No To Plastic : Think Act Save".

The program started at 9:30 am at the lab. Then I delivered the welcome speech and all of us had duties in this program.  And we fulfilled it with our full capabilities. After the presidential adress by Honey miss, Akash started the presentation session. And after the presentation session there was an interactive session about how to make paper bags. And the program was really a successful one.

And after concluding the program at 10:15 am, we had to go to our concerned classes. I had class at 8F at second and third period. And taught them the chapter water. And after that I went along with Pooja to 8E for helping to take class on chapter Reflection of Light in Spherical Mirrors.

Then after lunch, we had a photo session with all the teaching trainees in the school. It was really enjoyable one.

On January 21, we reached school as usual at 9 am. But on this day, the Government had declared holiday for students upto 9 standard. So we had no class on this day. So we went to our staffroom and did our duties. And at 12:30 pm we left school after signing.

In total, this week was really an unforgettable one with happiness, anxiety, tension, etc.
